About Vista Architectural
At Vista Architectural, we design and build aluminum railing systems for commercial and multifamily construction across North America. We are the architectural division of Vista Railing Systems, a manufacturer that has been building products in-house since 1974, and for more than 30 years we have focused specifically on the demands of multi-family and commercial projects: apartments, condominiums, senior living communities, and mixed-use developments where railings need to perform for the life of the building, not just look good on installation day.
Our specialty is glass and picket railing systems engineered to meet national building code requirements, along with Juliet railings, bolt-on balconies, custom privacy screens, stair and hand railings, and wheelchair ramp railings built to the same standard. Every system leaves our facility precision fabricated in aluminum, a material we favour because it holds up against coastal weather, road salt, and decades of freeze-thaw cycles without the ongoing maintenance that wood or steel railings demand. We design, engineer, test, and manufacture in-house, which means the same team that draws up your project specifications is accountable for the finished product that ships to your site.
We understand that architects, developers, and contractors are not just buying a railing. They are buying a component that has to clear inspection, match a design intent set months earlier, and stand up to a building’s full lifespan with minimal callbacks. That is why we work with you from early design through installation, translating drawings into fascia-mounted, top-mounted, or embedment-based systems that fit the structure in front of us rather than a generic catalogue spec.
Who we are.
We grew out of Vista Railing Systems’ original woodturning and wood remanufacturing operation, which became the first in its industry to earn Forest Stewardship Council certification. That same discipline around materials and process carried over when we added a dedicated aluminum railing manufacturing operation, and later expanded again into glass and cable railing products, eventually forming the commercial and multifamily division you see today.
Our Manufacturing Facility
Our facility runs on modern automated extrusion handling and laser cutting equipment, which lets us hold tight tolerances across every production run while keeping lead times predictable for developers working against a construction schedule. Every product is engineered to national building code for multifamily application, so specifiers and contractors can move forward with confidence rather than reworking a design after the fact.
Our Design-Build Approach
Wherever you are building, whether it is a mid-rise condo tower, a garden-style apartment complex, or a mixed-use development with retail below and residences above, we bring the same design-build approach: an in-house team that owns the project from initial drawings through the finished railing on site. That accountability is part of why architects and developers return to us for the next phase and the next building.
We build custom railings, but more importantly, we build relationships with the architects, developers, and contractors who trust us project after project.
Putting Safety Above All Else
Safety and code compliance are never an afterthought for us. Every railing system we design accounts for guardrail height, load requirements, and glass or picket spacing rules under the applicable building code, and we build wheelchair ramp railings to the same standard so accessibility never becomes a separate conversation late in a project. When a design calls for something outside our standard product lines, our team works directly with your drawings to build a solution rather than asking you to compromise on the specification.
